A look back on top 5 Halloween inspired kicks

Pumpkins, skeletons, vampires, werewolves and most importantly...kicks! (For some of us). While some will be bobbing for apples others will be flocking the stores or crawling the web for those Halloween inspired trainers.

Whether to complete your Fredy Kruger costume or add finishing touches to your household decorations, brands have supplied classic Halloween designs over the years.

Freddy Kruger dunks

Undoubtedly the most prolific and sought after Halloween pair inspired by every kid's nightmare in the late 80s. Nightmare on elm street, a classic Halloween flick, is only as rememberable as its star Freddy Kruger. The iconic hat, long claws, and the striped jumper were more than enough for Nike to create an Inspired sb dunk.

Who knew Taking the red/tan strips and draping it across the upper with the addition of blood splatter (how could you miss that) could create a pair that can fetch up to 15,000+ on the resell market.

Nike SB Dunk Low "Night Of Mischief"

Re-released for this year's Halloween season, no other design captures the spirit of much more than the "Night of Mischief" SB. While the name itself lays the foundations, the pair does not hold back on it source of inspiration.

The pair screams Halloween with purple spider detailing, 'trick or treat' stitched on the heels, Jack-o'-lantern perforation on the toe-box and pumpkin insoles. I would be surprised to see these on foot any other time of year!

Lebron 13 "Horror Flick"/ "Friday The 13th"

It's no secret that Lebron James likes to have a bit a fun off the court. From his numerous pranks videos, the recent 'Taco Tuesday' craze and the variety of Halloween outfits he has worn throughout the years, the self-titled 'King' likes being apart of all types of action.

His contribution to this list includes his blood-spattered Lebron 13's. Taking inspiration from pretty much every horror flick, blood red is sprayed up throughout the white midsole with blood-tinged detailing on the tongue and heel to create a catching yet gruesome design.

Nike Air Foamposite One "Halloween"

Hate it or love it, the Foamposite's remain a staple silhouette in the Nike line. 2016 saw a creative Halloween inspired release that sent chills down the spine with a click of your heels.

Brandished on the back of each foot is half of the Haloween season Santa Clause, Jack-o'-lantern. The playful take on the scary figure pays homage to the menacing pumpkin carvings seen in most households and door-steps during the Halloween season. A sight not easily forgotten!

Nike Dunk SB High 'Jason Voorhees

If you are a horror movie fan, you know the name Jason Voorhes from the classic 'Friday The Friday 13th'. Nike SB celebrated Halloween with a release from the cult figure that still torments the household through the TV screen to this day.

Drenched in a dried red blood upper, the Voorhes subtly get across their message compared to the others that feature on the list. It would be great to see a remake of the film with him rocking a pair!
